Magic Ink is a writing app that looks like a normal document, with an AI quietly hidden inside the page. Type a question on any line, pause, and the answer appears tucked just below — invisible until you hover.

How does the hover-to-reveal trick work?

Once the AI has answered, the text below your line is masked. As your cursor moves across the page, a small flashlight-shaped reveal follows it and uncovers the answer beneath. Nothing surfaces on a shared screen unless you point at it.

Magic Ink Pro is £7 per month. There's no free tier — a subscription is required to create, open and download documents. Cancel anytime.

Not right now. Pricing is intentionally simple: one plan, one price, everything included. Stripe handles billing in test mode in the preview.

Which AI model powers the answers?

Magic Ink uses a frontier-class language model behind the scenes. We tune the prompt so answers stay short and accurate — usually two to four sentences.

Can I export my documents?

Yes. Click Download in the editor to export as Word (.doc), HTML, Markdown, or Plain text. You can choose whether to include the hidden AI answers in the export — by default they are stripped out.

Are my documents saved?

Every change is autosaved to your account. Pressing Cmd/Ctrl+S creates a versioned snapshot you can refer back to. Your documents are private to your account and protected with row-level security.

Can other people see the AI answers if I share my screen?

No. The answers are masked by default and only reveal in a small radius around your cursor. If you don't hover, nothing shows. That's the whole point.

Does Magic Ink work on mobile?

The editor is designed for desktop, where the cursor-driven reveal works best. It opens on mobile but the discreet hover behaviour is a desktop experience.

How do I cancel?

Open the billing portal from your account and cancel. You keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.
